The Desert Riviera Hotel is a small and quaint boutique prop0erty with 11 spacious guest rooms.
Desert Riviera Hotel is an award winning mid-century modern style boutique hotel located in sunny Palm Springs, California.
The hotel was built by Herbert W. Burns, one of the desert’s first modernists. Burns was an admired architectural designer, known for his design of stylish homes and hotels after World War II. He partnered with Austin & Eva Spencer to build Desert Riviera Hotel, breaking ground in 1950 and opening in February of 1951. He also was the modernist architect known for other local projects like the Town & Desert Apartments now known as The Hideaway.
Today, the property is still largely intact – complete with its large plate-glass and casement windows, wide roof overhangs and original 1950s tile in the bathrooms.
Continental breakfast with locally roasted coffee (Koffi) is served daily in the lounge. Enjoy your breakfast inside or out by the sunny poolside. In-room kitchens or kitchenettes, a fully stocked community kitchen, and BBQ grills are also available for your use.
The pool and Jacuzzi is always open. Enjoy welcome drinks and snacks. Explore the neighborhood with complementary cruiser bicycles. For longer stays, there is a guest washer and dryer.
