Thompson Palm Springs – 414 N Palm Canyon
The new Thompson Hotel Palm Springs, which opened in October 2024, is a luxurious addition to the city’s hospitality scene, perfectly situated between downtown and the Uptown Design District. This stylish retreat features bungalow-style rooms with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and treetops. The hotel is known for its sophisticated design and cultural influences. It offers guests an elevated experience, including two outdoor pools, rooftop dining at Lola Rose Grand Mezze, and a Napa Valley tasting room. The property also includes more than 35,000 square feet of retail and dining space. With event spaces such as the 6,200-square-foot San Jacinto Ballroom and the upcoming exclusive Upper Stories tower, the Thompson Palm Springs is designed to cater to both luxury travelers and event planners seeking a modern yet tranquil desert escape.

The Cactai – 312 E Camino Monte Vista
The Cactai is a beautifully restored midcentury boutique hotel in Palm Springs that combines desert charm with contemporary comfort. The suites offer over 750 square feet of luxury, accommodating up to four guests with separate living and sleeping areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private patio with serene pool views. Superior rooms, ideal for small groups or couples, provide 450-500 square feet of comfort with a pool view and a full kitchen or a private patio with a kitchenette featuring a king-sized bed and queen futon sofa. For a cozy retreat, standard rooms range from 350 to 400 square feet and comfortably accommodate four guests, featuring a kitchenette and relaxing garden views.

Yara Hotel – 221 E Sonora Road
The Yara Hotel is a 21+, 10-room boutique desert oasis nestled beneath the San Jacinto mountains. Revived and redesigned, this Spanish-style hotel has become a serene retreat for slow living. Inspired by the desert's natural beauty, the Yara Hotel creates a sense of remoteness with intentional details reminiscent of the Mediterranean.
The pool is the heart of Yara—an intimate yet inviting space where you’ll find yourself friendly with those traveling from near and far. Lounge on any comfy daybed and vibe with the eclectic tunes. The space is neutral in color but lavish in texture. No detail has been spared, perfectly accenting the breathtaking Spanish architecture.
Yara offers a complimentary breakfast, poolside drink service with a curated natural wine list, premium cocktails, and a boutique selection of beers and seltzers. Yara will soon offer an exclusive communal prix fixe chef’s tasting menu with wine pairing for dinner.

Ash & Vine Restaurant - 19 La Plaza
Located in a 1938 Bungalow, chef Matt Resler's menu is Italian-inspired with Asian influences, including a scallop risotto made with Hokkaido scallops, a Japanese variety, and Hamachi Crudo.

Beaton's Bar at Bar Cecil - 1555 S Palm Canyon Drive
Beaton’s at Bar Cecil is an intimate salon and patio offering thoughtful cocktails, classic dishes, and inspired hospitality. It is designed as a stylish sibling space—perfect for pre- or post‑dinner drinks—with a vibe that complements Bar Cecil’s art‑driven, high‑touch hospitality.

Desert Moon - 350 S Indian Canyon Drive
Desert Moon offers a refined yet welcoming dining experience, combining contemporary elegance with a laid-back desert vibe. The restaurant’s menu features an array of dishes crafted with bold flavors and seasonal ingredients, from the pan-seared Scotch salmon served with caper beurre blanc to the linguine seafood pasta, which combines lobster, scallops, shrimp, and a light cream sauce.
For those seeking heartier options, braised pork shank, grilled filet mignon, and braised beef short ribs provide rich, satisfying flavors, while blackened poblano chicken and pan-seared Chilean seabass offer a fresh take on classic favorites.
Dessert at Desert Moon is equally indulgent, with options like the chocolate rum cream brûlée, warm bread pudding with vanilla rum crème anglaise, and a classic tiramisu. The molten chocolate cake, served with raspberry chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, is a must for any chocolate lover.

Livs at the Palm Springs Art Museum – 101 N Museum Drive
Livs Palm Springs is taking over the downstairs space. The menu at Livs offers a variety of breakfast, lunch, and starter options. Popular breakfast choices include Croque Madame with bechamel, jambon de Paris, a sunny-side-up egg, and a salad bouquet, as well as Eggs Benedict and the hearty Steak and Eggs, featuring an 8-oz iron steak, eggs, avocado, and salsa de molcajete. Other options include the Lorraine French Omelette and Chef’s Breakfast with poached eggs, steamed rice, and crispy shallots. The pancakes with wild blueberry compote and bacon are a sweet delight.
For lunch, the menu features a variety of sandwiches, including the Livs' Burger with a 6-oz beef patty, cheddar, and pickles, and a Lobster Roll with cabbage and tarragon. Salads such as the Chopped Cobb and Mediterranean Salad offer fresh, vibrant options, while starters like Shrimp & Lobster Louie add variety.

Ponzu Sushi – 100 W Tahquitz Canyon Way
Ponzu Sushi, the latest gem in the Palm Springs culinary scene, prides itself on offering fresh, innovative flavors in a modern, inviting atmosphere. It is perfect for casual dining and special occasions. Ponzu Sushi is centrally located by the Forever Marilyn statue and the Palm Springs downtown park.
Begin your meal with appetizers like Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice, Edamame, and Tempura, followed by a selection of classic rolls, including California, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado, and Crunchy Rolls. Ponzu Sushi’s signature rolls offer nearly 20 unique creations, including the vegan-friendly ‘Leaf Me Alone’ roll and the ‘Lolipop’ roll, featuring Bluefin tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, and avocado wrapped in cucumber. Sushi lovers can indulge in fresh Nigiri and Sashimi like Toro, Super Yellowtail, and Uni Nigiri. Hot entrees include chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, salmon teriyaki, and hibachi filet mignon, all perfectly paired with sake, Japanese beer, or creative cocktails.

Bar Issi - 414 N Palm Canyon Drive
Palm Springs' newest coastal Italian restaurant offering small plates and curated cocktails. Located on the bottom floor of the Thompson Palm Springs Hotel. Bar Issi will complement the hotel's already significant food and beverage offerings, which include the upscale Mediterranean restaurant Lola Rose Grand Mezze and the Hall Napa Valley Tasting Room and Wine Lounge.

Coffeeism Co. - 110 E Tahquitz Way
Soon, this space will be filled with movement and the ritual of coffee done with care, and scheduled to open in the fall of 2025. Longtin hospitality professional Guillaume Galataud is working to transform the 830-square-foot unit in the historic Liebling Trust Building into a Scandinavian-inspired caffeine destination. Coffeeism will serve Intelligentsia's full espresso and batch brew program. Galataud managed the launch of Bootlegger Tiki and served as GM at SO•PA at L'Horizon Hotel.

Gelato-A-Go-Go - 190 E Tahquitz Canyon Way
In the former Just Chillin location, serving authentic artisanal gelato, but with a cool retro twist. They offer dairy and vegan gelato, Italian pastries, Frullato gelato smoothies, and espresso.

Hot Cookie - 155 S Palm Canyon Drive
Originally founded in San Francisco’s Castro District in 1997, Hot Cookie is famous for its fresh-baked cookies, cheeky attitude, and proudly inclusive vibe. The Palm Springs location continues that legacy with a desert twist—serving gooey, delicious cookies with a side of fun in a vibrant, LGBTQ+-welcoming environment.

Bougainvillea Fresh Cuisine - 555 S Sunrise Way, Suite 108
Bougainvillea Fresh Cuisine offers a vibrant mix of fresh Latin-inspired dishes, house-made pastas, crisp salads, and flavorful mains, available for lunch and dinner. Whether you're stopping by for a quick lunch, sharing a family-style meal, or celebrating a special occasion, the menu blends comfort, creativity, and high-quality ingredients.

After Hours - 369 N Palm Canyon Drive (second floor)
The lounge occupies the second floor of the former Alibi/Azul space. It’s the creation of longtime friends Jamie De la Torre, Michael Sandoval, Pedro Jiménez, and Fernando López, who have shared the dream of opening this venue for over a decade. In addition to signature cocktails, they also offer a curated menu of appetizers, salads, and desserts. Unlike traditional lounges, they take reservations.

Wolf Contemporary – 768 N Palm Canyon
Wolf is a curated art and design gallery in the Uptown Design District. Directed by Mark Rose, Wolf showcases works by contemporary California artists, rare findings, and unique designs in a gallery setting. This can include antique artifacts, rare vintage designer handbags, modern and vintage jewelry, and the occasional piece of statement furniture. The Axe Club will include three spaces. The axe-throwing space features eight fenced lanes where participants throw various types of handheld axes, including a tactical military shovel. In the Rage Room, participants enter and use tools such as baseball bats and crowbars to smash everything from glass bottles and plates to old lamps and even furniture, depending on the package purchased.

Taking over the space of the vacant Days Inn, this 179-room resort calls for an expansion of the hotel and restaurant. It will increase the hotel's room count from 107 to 179 and add a new two-story hotel building along with a relocated restaurant and lobby.
