VillageFest Street Fair Tue, July 7, 2020 Eat & Drink Add to trip Remove from trip Palm Springs Villagefest Block Party By Kevin Perry The workday is over. The weekenders haven’t arrived (yet). The sun is falling behind the San Jacinto mountains and the evening lights begin to glitter. It’s time to join your friends and neighbors for Palm Springs VillageFest, the weekly street fair that celebrates community, commerce, crafts, and everything else under the now-retreating sun. The festivities embrace downtown Palm Springs every Thursday from 7-10pm when Palm Canyon Drive closes down to traffic and transitions into a pedestrian friendly outdoor street fair. Palm Springs VillageFest Food Palm Springs VillageFest food vendors line the streets, ready for you to sample their samples as you stroll down Palm Canyon. CV BBQ, know for their legendary tri tip, will give you the energy you need to conquer the rest of the night (not to mention the weekend ahead). Angel Breads offers handmade low sugar banana and fruity breads, cookies and gluten free items. For something sweet, visit Brandini for Handmade almond toffee. Cali-pop offers the traditional kettle corn or for something more substantial, Croondogs makes gourmet sausages, burgers, sandwiches, and sides. Keep strolling and you’ll find ice cream, Belgian waffles, pizza, fudge, date shakes, and so much more. There is also a farmer’s market to stock up the pantry or to grab some healthy snacks. Palm Springs VillageFest Fun As you stroll Palm Canyon you’ll be treated with live music along the way; singing, guitar, violin and the occasional cello. As a home for artists who live outside the usual Hollywood hullabaloo you’ll find treasures, crafts, paintings, and many hand-made goods for a variety of tastes. Arts Anvil Iron Works offers custom metal pieces. There’s jewelry, handbags, kid’s toys, pet times, handcrafted western art, clothes, belts, hand-made soaps, candles, and so much more. It’s a fun evening for the whole family, and pet friendly. See you then and there!
