A Wave Pool Like No Other

The star attraction at Palm Springs Surf Club is its massive, turquoise wave pool, capable of creating consistent, surfable waves on demand. This isn’t your average waterpark wave. Wave tech developed by surf pros is designed to mimic ocean swells with precision and variety. That means you can expect everything from gentle rollers perfect for first-timers to powerful, barreling waves that challenge even expert surfers.

Waves are programmed and released in timed sets, allowing surfers to ride consistent, repeatable waves, something even ocean surfers can’t count on.

If you’re new to surfing, don’t worry, this is a great place to learn. The pool’s controlled environment allows you to focus on fundamentals like paddling and popping up, without worrying about riptides or surprise currents. Beginner sessions include in-water coaching, soft-top boards, and a low-pressure environment that makes learning feel more like fun than frustration.

Private Group - All Levels

A Private Surf Session gives you and your group exclusive access to the entire wave pool for either one or two hours. You can fully customize your session—ride your favorite wave repeatedly or switch up wave types like A-Frames, rights, lefts, The Slab, or Clean Easy Tube anytime you want.

  • Availability: 1-hour and 2-hour sessions are offered daily.
  • Capacity: Up to 12 surfers per hour (24 total for 2 hours, though only 12 can be in the water at once).
  • Booking Process: Select your date and time, enter your surfer information, agree to the terms, and submit your contact and payment details.
  • Important: Your card won’t be charged immediately. A staff member will contact you to confirm the details before finalizing the payment.

Private Surf Sessions offer exclusive access to the entire wave pool, making them ideal for group outings, celebrations, or surfers who want total control over their experience.

5 Slabs - Expert

The 5 Slabs setting is for advanced to expert surfers only. It features a steep, top-to-bottom barrel right off the takeoff, requiring strong paddling skills and confident pop-ups. If you haven’t surfed real ocean barrels, this wave may be too intense. Experienced surfers can use techniques such as the arm-bar method to control speed and tube depth. After the barrel, expect a carving section and occasionally a hittable lip at the end—ideal for those chasing a serious adrenaline rush.

Requirements:

  • Must be over 42” tall
  • Limit: 10 surfers per session

Lefts & Rights - Intermediate

The Lefts and Rights wave settings at Palm Springs Surf Club offer extended rides—about 3–4 seconds longer than standard waves—and are ideal for intermediate to pro-level surfers. Each wave begins with a quick barrel and maintains a clean face, ending in a playful section that's perfect for laybacks or more advanced maneuvers, such as the blowtail reverse.

  • Waves are released in 6-wave sets, with 22 seconds between each wave and about 1 minute and 20 seconds between sets.
  • Max capacity: 12 surfers per session

These versatile waves offer both fun and performance for surfers looking to push their skills.
