There is always something new at the Palm Springs Air Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of static and flyable aircraft from WWII through the War on Terror. Unlike many other museums, the air-conditioned hangars have no ropes to keep you from interacting with our exhibits. In addition to the aircraft, exhibits, and activities allow visitors of all ages to gain a fresh perspective on the history of US Military operations over the last 100 years. Discover the programs and events taking place at the museum.
The museum has a gift shop located inside the museum entrance. It has the best collection of aviation and military-themed gifts in the world. From T-shirts to ball caps, models, toys, and puzzles—you name it, and the gift shop has it!
The Palm Springs Air Museum also has a 12,700-volume research library above the main lobby. In the outer room of the library, computer flight simulators entertain and teach people of all ages the principles of flight.
Additionally, the Ron Auen Theatre is located adjacent to the visitor services desk and shows documentary movies continuously throughout the day. It houses numerous highly detailed airplane models that guests are welcome to look at and even has some special movie posters signed by famous actors.
If you work up an appetite while visiting the museum, check out the menu at the Victory Canteen Café.
Open 10 am – 5 pm daily.
