Fantasy Balloon Flights offers daily champagne balloon adventures in the Coachella Valley from September through May. During the summer, they provide balloon flights over the scenic Temecula wine country, a 90-minute drive away, and the Ventura coast, accessible with a three-hour drive to Santa Paula.
Early morning balloon adventures in the Palm Springs area start at Shields Date Garden. From November through February, evening flights are also available, offering stunning sunset views of the valley.
Your hot air balloon experience begins with a short shuttle to the launch site. You’ll watch as the crew inflates the balloons, which rise seven stories high. Fantasy Balloon Flights offers various balloon sizes, accommodating groups of up to twelve guests plus the pilot. You can charter a balloon exclusively for your group or join others.
As the balloon ascends, you’ll enjoy a serene flight over natural deserts, lush golf resorts, Date Palm groves, and polo clubs. The pilot will highlight interesting sites and wildlife during the one-hour flight. The adventure concludes with a traditional champagne toast or sparkling juice, and you’ll receive a flight certificate as a keepsake.
This ballooning activity is suitable for all ages and abilities. Plan to spend about 2 ½ hours in total.
