About

The Cole Hotel, a 30-room boutique establishment, has recently opened to guests and will officially celebrate its grand unveiling on March 13th. Previously known as the Bahama Hotel, this midcentury icon has undergone extensive and careful restoration under the guidance of owner Mark Weis, General Manager David Smith, and Project Manager Mat Rogers. Built in 1959, the hotel’s design pays homage to its architectural heritage, featuring contributions from draftsman Raymond Devore, mason John Francis Gallerani, and local architect Hugh Kaptur. The renovation emphasizes the property’s modernist roots and midcentury character, bringing a touch of Palm Springs’ architectural history back to life.
