The Desert Star by Architect Howard Lapham was originally built as a motor lodge 1956. Fully restored and historically designated The Desert Star is now 6 rentable vacation studios owned by a small group of people who love the Palm Spring lifestyle and all that it has to offer. The Desert Star is situated near the Ace hotel and a variety of great walking distance dining and cocktail options. You’ll find the local hikes a terrific pool time primer. The Desert Star is an early and important work of Lapham’s, a pure modernist design featuring a “colliding flat and shed roof” and is still remarkably intact.
Each bungalow is a spacious 600 square feet and has a living room and fully-equipped kitchen.
The property is nestled in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the downtown village and is close to great restaurants.
