Urban Yoga Center (UYC) offers authentic yoga, various meditation avenues, an experienced staff, and opportunities to gather for kirtan. The teachers work privately with individuals, wedding parties, and corporate groups. Many of the instructors also teach at the local hotels and spas. Founder Kristin Olson has taught and worked with Hollywood luminaries and sports figures for decades.
Opened in September 2001, Urban Yoga Center is the longest-running yoga studio in the Coachella Valley. It is open 7 days a week all year round. UYC classes run from 60 minutes for a refreshing tune-up to 75 minutes for a good experience with meditation and deepening postures, to 90 minutes for healing and thorough stretching, strengthening, and heart-filling yoga. UYC is true to its name; we practice the Art of Yoga in the modern urban environment. It offers the most authentic and sacred yoga experience, with many teachers on staff with over 10 years of teaching experience. Urban Yoga honors the lineage of the idea that yoga is more than just the physical postures.
