As the sun descends, Palm Springs comes alive with early-bird dining specials as irresistible as the evening breeze. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a gourmet meal before a night out or prefer dining at a more relaxed pace, Palm Springs offers a range of enticing options.

Kaiser Grille

Kaiser Grille blends the flavors of California and the Mediterranean, offering a delectable mix of shareable plates, wood-fired pizzas, and irresistible drink specials. Proprietor Lee Morcus has crafted a summer menu inspired by the cherished recipes of his Lebanese grandmother, Sito, ensuring each dish is packed with authentic flavors.

Summer Eats: Start your meal with a refreshing gazpacho soup infused with pineapple and watermelon or a vibrant tabbouleh salad. The Mezza Feast is a highlight featuring fresh-baked Lebanese bread paired with various dipping sauces, spreads, olives, cheeses, and fresh produce. Or, indulge in Italian classics like chicken or eggplant parmigiana, or choose from a selection of pasta dishes.

Seating begins at 4 p.m.

Sunset Dining is a special two-course dinner menu served from 4 to 6 pm.

The first course includes a select cup of soup or petit salads, such as organic greens, dates, and Manchego salad or the Fattoush salad with Za’atar pita.

The second course has a variety of beef, chicken, seafood, pasta, and pork options. Specialties include steak frites, Faroe Island salmon, jumbo diver scallops, and BBQ baby back pork ribs.

Happy Hour 3:30 – 6 pm daily with ½ off wine Wednesdays.

Eight4Nine

Eight4Nine brings a touch of elegance to its summer dining specials, offering a $49 three-course dinner from Sunday to Thursday from 5 to 9 pm. Known for its stylish decor and artistic flair, this restaurant is a favorite for those seeking a contemporary dining experience.

First impressions include ahi tuna poke, ricotta crostini, melon gazpacho, or glazed carrots with creamy hummus.

For the main event, menu selections include short rib, striped bass, port tenderloin, and chicken Milanese. Vegetarians will love the grilled squash in a curry sauce with lentils and chickpeas.

For dessert, choose from a silky crème brulee, creamy panna cotta, or the Nanaimo bar with peanut butter mouse and a chocolate glaze.

Escena Grill

Escena Grill, nestled within the picturesque Escena Golf Club, offers an exceptional dining experience with its stunning midcentury modern architecture and sweeping views of the San Jacinto Mountains. The sunset menu is available Wednesday through Saturday from 2 pm until 9 pm..

The restaurant’s sunset menu highlights inlcude appetizers, salads, burgers and dinner entres, all while enjoying the warm glow of the setting sun. A sample of the dinner entrees include fried chicken, BBQ pork ribs, seared salmon, and prosciutto wrapped meatloaf.

They also have a Happy Hour, Wed. – Sat., 2 pm – 5 pm. It includes 25% off all appetizers and burgers.

Trio Palm Springs

A staple in Palm Springs Uptown Design District, Trio offers a vibrant atmosphere and a special Uptown Prix Fixe Summer Menu daily from 4 to 6 pm for $39.

Kick off your meal with delicious bacon-wrapped dates and blue cheese, a favorite local dish. Other tempting starters include salmon potstickers and classic Ceasar salad.

For the main course, enjoy branzino, jidori chicken, braised short ribs, pasta, and Trio Smashburger. You can upgrade and order Scottish salmon or pork chop.

The dessert includes your choice of Trio brownie or seasonal sorbet.

Tropicale

Tropicale, known for its retro-chic vibe, offers a delightful summer menu in its indoor and outdoor lounges. It is available nightly from 4 to 7 pm and has an extended all-day happy hour on Wednesdays. The menu features a variety of small, sharable plates perfect for a relaxed evening.

Popular items include southern-fried buttermilk chicken strips, shrimp tacos, chicken skewers with peanut sauce, and Angus sliders with gruyere cheese and red onions.

1501 Uptown Gastropub

A modern twist on the classic gastropub, 1501 Uptown Gastropub offers a sunset menu daily from 3 to 5 pm. The casual yet refined atmosphere makes it an excellent spot for sharing plates and enjoying a few drinks.

Start with the charcuterie board, a crowd-pleaser featuring an assortment of meats, cheeses, almonds, apricot preserves, honeycomb, local dates, and a fresh baguette. Other options include BBQ wings and crispy onion rings. For heartier fare, try the roasted chicken sandwich, mesquite tri-tip on focaccia, or the popular Cubano with roasted pork and Virginia ham. Classic entrees include fish and chips, pork shoulder, and penne pasta with braised pork or charred vegetables.

Enjoy Happy Hour beverage pricing with $2 off house wines, beers, and cocktails.

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

Head to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for an elevated sunset dining experience with the best view in Palm Springs. They offer a memorable ride and dine package that includes your tram ticket and meal at Pines Café. The cost is $41 for adults and $27.50 for children aged 3 to 10.

Tickets begin at 4 pm, and dinner service starts at 4:30 pm.

Dinner includes a salad, and a choice of entrée served with two sides.  Entrees include baked chicken, vegetarian lasagna, BBQ pork ribs, or beef burgundy.

They do not take dinner reservations.
