Palm Springs’ longest-running musical comedy returns to Revolution Stage Company for its Fall season of 8 performances on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons October 18 through November 17.
MID-CENTURY MODERNS is the entertaining and comedic musical adventure of Maryann Popecky, a Wisconsin widow who dreams of moving West to become a secretary! But when her car breaks down in the shadow of Mt. San Jacinto, it seems that the fates have something else in store. She finds freedom from the ghost of her late husband, and from all the old ways that have been holding her down…and she just might find love, but on her own mid-century terms.
With an original story and direction by Mark Christopher, best known for the hit movie “54” starring Salma Hayek, Ryan Phillippe and Mike Myers, the sensational hits of ‘66 come to life in this delightful journey that transforms Maryann from frump to fabulous. Featuring the music of Tom Jones, Petula Clark, Lesley Gore, Frank and Nancy Sinatra, The Association, The Monkees, and many more!
The musical will be performed on 5 consecutive Friday evenings at 7PM, starting October 18 (also October 25, November 1, November 8 and November 15), as well as three Sunday 2PM matinee performances on October 20, October 27 and November 17.
To celebrate our fourth season, tickets will be discounted $15 for opening weekend shows on October 18 and October 20.
