Smoke Tree Stables can provide a picturesque horseback ride through the historic Agua Caliente Indian Canyons, which offer year-round streams and beautiful palm oases. Custom-designed group packages are available, including picnic lunches or a western cookout and entertainment.
Additionally, a therapeutic program called Equine equine-facilitated psychotherapy (EFP) focuses on what the horse can bring into insight, change, and healing. Group activities with the horse involve boundaries, self-esteem, relationships, and mindfulness. EFP is beneficial in treating a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and eating disorders. EFP is also an excellent support program for clients working through trauma or recovery from substance abuse addiction.
