The Webster’s ninth luxury multi-brand boutique is now open in Palm Springs. It is housed in a 4,200-square-foot 1970s revival property in the Uptown Design District.
The Webster Palm Springs features the best luxury fashion, from Celine, The Attico, Saint Laurent, and Gucci to Gallery Dept., Casablanca, Rhude, and more. Many items are exclusive to and only available at The Webster. With a focus on established brands and emerging talent, The Webster provides a unique shopping experience for fashion enthusiasts and style-conscious individuals.
A prominent interior designer, Arthur Elrod, operated his design studio in what is now The Webster retail store. Elrod, known for his influential work in desert modern design, established this space in the 1960s. He co-founded Arthur Elrod and Associates in Palm Springs, where he worked on various projects that exemplified mid-century modern aesthetics. He is best known for the iconic Elrod House, designed by architect John Lautner, featured in the James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever.
The building where The Webster now resides reflects the classic Palm Springs style. It underwent a renovation to retain its original character while adapting to a luxurious retail environment. This redesign was executed by Paris-based interior designer Stéphane Parmentier, who brought a touch of Brazilian modernism to complement the original mid-century elements. The store combines contemporary luxury with architectural nods to its historic roots, making it a fitting tribute to Elrod’s legacy in the area.
