Within its Scandinavian-designed interior, you’ll enjoy a reasonable selection of hand-crafted sushi and whiskey pairings, making Sandfish an ideal destination for both epicures and the curious.

Sandfish ensures that every dish is a work of art. They pride themselves on using only the freshest and highest-quality ingredients to create out-of-this-world flavors. From classic rolls to creative fusion creations, their sushi menu is designed to satisfy all taste buds.

Sandfish Roll: This signature roll combines spicy tuna, crab meat, and avocado and is topped with lightly fried potato threads, spicy aioli, teriyaki sauce, micro greens, and black truffle zest. The carefully crafted balance of textures and flavors in this roll is a testament to the culinary expertise of the Sandfish chefs.

Other signature dishes include Japanese pork belly Bao Buns, braised and grilled Spanish octopus, albacor tataki, and black mussels.

Meet Owner & Chef Engin Onural

Behind Sandfish Sushi & Whiskey’s success is owner Engin Onural, a passionate entrepreneur and sushi aficionado. With a deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine and spirits, Engin set out to create a dining destination that would bring these two worlds together. His vision and dedication have transformed Sandfish into a must-visit spot for food and drink enthusiasts in Palm Springs.

Engin’s love for sushi grew young in Istanbul, Turkey. He later traveled to Japan to study the art of sushi-making, honing his skills under the guidance of renowned sushi masters. This immersive experience allowed him to refine his techniques and develop a deep understanding of the cultural nuances surrounding sushi.

Inspired by his time in Japan, Engin opened Sandfish to offer an authentic sushi experience paired with a whiskey selection that would impress even the most discerning palates. His attention to detail and commitment to quality have earned Sandfish numerous accolades and a loyal following of sushi and whiskey enthusiasts.
