The Desert Riviera Hotel is a small, quaint boutique with 11 spacious guest rooms.
Desert Riviera Hotel is an award-winning mid-century modern-style boutique hotel located in sunny Palm Springs, California. Herbert W. Burns, one of the desert’s first modernists, built the hotel. Burns was an admired architectural designer known for his design of stylish homes and hotels after World War II. He partnered with Austin & Eva Spencer to build the Desert Riviera Hotel, breaking ground in 1950 and opening in February of 1951. He was also a modernist architect known for other local projects like the Town & Desert Apartments, now known as The Hideaway. The property is still largely intact today – with its large plate-glass and casement windows, wide roof overhangs, and original 1950s bathroom tile.
Continental breakfast with locally roasted coffee (Koffi) is served daily in the lounge. Enjoy your breakfast inside or out by the sunny poolside. In-room kitchens or kitchenettes, a fully stocked community kitchen, and BBQ grills are also available for your use. The pool and Jacuzzi are always open. Enjoy welcome drinks and snacks.
