Get ready for the ultimate Halloween celebration as Halloween Palm Springs 2024 returns to the Arenas District on Sunday, October 27! Grammy®-winning Motown legend Thelma Houston and Pop/Dance diva Thea Austin, formerly of SNAP!, will headline.

T-Dance Extravaganza (4 – 6 pm)  Start the festivities with the annual T-Dance, where you can groove to great music and soak up the vibrant atmosphere.

Live Performances (6 – 10 pm) Experience spectacular performances by music legends, including Thelma Houston and Thea Austin. From classic hits to new tunes, their performances will be the highlight of the evening!

Thelma Houston

Thelma Houston is a trailblazing icon whose career has been a powerful force in the music industry and the LGBTQ+ community. Bursting onto the scene with her unforgettable hit “Don’t Leave Me This Way,” Thelma didn’t just top the charts—she redefined them. Her blend of soulful R&B and dynamic dance beats made her a beacon for dance music lovers everywhere. Masters and Mistresses of Ceremonies: The fabulous John Taylor from KGAY 106.5 FM, Alexander Rodriguez of “On the Rocks,” and the dazzling Bella da Ball will keep the energy high throughout the night.

Live Music and DJ Sets: Dance the night away with performances from avant-garde band Jesika Von Rabbit and an array of DJs spinning the latest tracks. Expect surprises and spontaneous fun!

General Admission: Free with a suggested donation of $10 at the entrances. Donations support local LGBTQ+ organizations, including DAP Health, Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, Greater Palm Springs Pride, and the LGBTQ+ Community Center of the Desert.

Museum admission includes the car show. Kids 12 and under are free and encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes (no weapons allowed)!

Oct. 28 – Voltas 2nd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest – 6:30 pm

Volta is back for her 2nd annual pumpkin carving contest. You’ll get to pick a pumpkin in our “pumpkin patch” and join the contest to see who is the ultimate carver. Don’t worry.. you’ll be judged accordingly. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets

Oct. 31 – Halloween Murder Mystery Party – 7 pm

Have you ever been to a murder mystery party? Well, this will be the event of the season, for sure! You will get a character assignment, dress the part and participate in a live whodunnit. Please purchase your tickets in advance as they are limited. Tickets

Palm Springs Pride’s Día de la Reina

Oct. 31 – Arenas District – 8 pm

Kick-off Palm Springs Pride in style at Día de la Reina, a free block party on October 31 that’s all about celebrating the Queens and Kings of Palm Springs! This isn’t your typical Halloween bash – it’s a vibrant night where community, music, and inclusivity take center stage in the Arenas District.

Headlining this year’s event is the iconic indie rock band Neon Trees. Get ready to dance the night away as they bring their high-energy performance and infectious hits like “Animal,” “Everybody Talks,” and “Sleeping With a Friend” to the stage. Known for their catchy tunes and electric live shows, Neon Trees will light up the night in unforgettable fashion.

It’s not just about the music, though. Día de la Reina transforms Arenas Road into a lively celebration filled with delicious food, local vendors, and a fantastic crowd. Welcome to RUBY, an evening of dark elegance and tantalizing indulgence, celebrating through music and delectable dishes, the temptation of blood-red wine! Music that echoes themes of passion and eternal night fills the room as we invite you to immerse yourself in the dark underworld of the vampire.

The highlight of the evening is an exquisite selection of blood-red wines, each chosen for its complex flavors and ability to captivate the senses. These wines are paired perfectly with the evening’s secret multi-course offering. Chef Dave has curated a menu that sinfully delights in the dark and the decadent!

VillageFest’s Halloween Spook-tacular

Don’t miss this free night of spooky, family fun on Thursday, Oct. 31, featuring monster movies, live entertainment, a haunted bus, trick-or-treating, a pumpkin patch, and a costume contest. Dress in your favorite costume and enter their Halloween contest. Prepare to be transported back to the Jazz Age with a thrillingly new twist as Lizzy Shapiro and her powerhouse band serve a spooktacular set of vintage Halloween songs, show tunes, and wickedly clever originals.

Led by the operatically trained Lizzy Shapiro, whose voice NPR describes as “one part Eartha Kitt, one part Ella Fitzgerald, one part Amy Winehouse,” the band brings a glamorous, subversive mix of vintage pop and biting humor. Lizzy, along with musical director Dan Barrett—who’s played with and arranged for the legendary Benny Goodman—will haunt the night with their uniquely enchanting sound.
