15 Restaurants for a Decadent Thanksgiving Meal

Thanksgiving is the perfect time to visit Palm Springs. The weather is beautiful and the hotels are stylish. You can enjoy stunning views of the desert landscape while you relax and celebrate with your family and friends.

Here are some great restaurants to enjoy a hearty Palm Springs Thanksgiving dinner.

1. Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will operate a special holiday schedule during the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend, Thursday, November 24 through Sunday, November 27. The first tram up each day will be at 8 a.m., the last tram up will be at 8 p.m. and the last tram down will be at 9:30 p.m.

On Thanksgiving Day, November 24, Ride ‘n’ Dine tickets—which include Tram admission and dinner at Pines Café (a cafeteria-style restaurant)—will be available for purchase from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dinner service begins at 11:00 a.m. Combination tickets are $38 for adults and seniors, and $24.50 children (ages 3-10). The holiday menu includes a choice of oven-roasted turkey, beef burgundy or vegetarian lasagna; a selection of side dishes; and pumpkin pie for dessert. Dinner roll along with a fountain beverage, coffee or tea are included.

Start your festive holiday season off with friends and family at Lulu on Thanksgiving Day and enjoy a delicious 4-course feast.

Their bountiful menu includes soups, salads and your choice of 10 delectable entrees including oven roasted turkey, Atlantic salmon, slow roasted prime rib, filet mignon, gluten free and vegetarian options and a sumptuous selection of desserts!  Lulu has room for everyone on Thanksgiving with tables on the covered and heated patio or in our spacious and festive indoor dining rooms.

3. Purple Room

Celebrate this Thanksgiving with Jazz at The Purple Room and a traditional three-course Thanksgiving Dinner. The Mark Kahny Trio sets the tone for Holiday Jazz in the intimate setting of the Purple Room, home of the Rat Pack, along with a prix-fixe holiday menu including your choice of roast turkey breast with stuffing, Scottish salmon, slow roasted short ribs, herbed pork tenderloin and vegan ravioli. 5.  Spencer’s Palm Springs

Eight4Nine is serving a four-course dinner. The main event is roast turkey, striped bass, duck breast, beef filet, or roasted root vegetable.

7. Copley’s

Copley’s  has a beautiful private outdoor patio just at the entry to the Uptown Design District. Chef Andrew Copley is preparing a range of menu selections including turkey, roasted Australian barramundi (fish), New York steak, salmon, and Berkshire port belly. For the vegan, he’s preparing panko crusted roasted cauliflower. $90 pp Menu

8. Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs

The Steakhouse at Agua Caliente is serving a delicious Thanksgiving prix-fixe menu that includes a choice of roasted turkey, prime rib, or baked salmon oscar. They have been honored by Wine Spectator consecutively since 2004 for its extensive California wine list.   Menu  Reservations

9. Tropicale Restaurant & Coral Seas Lounge

A chic and sophisticated décor provides the setting for our distinctive “world cuisine”, a provocative mix of zesty influences that creates a delightful dining experience. Plush high-backed semicircular banquettes surround our dining room and offer comfortable and private seating. The Coral Seas Lounge, a hip midcentury style bar is lined with sexy black leather bar-stools and is reminiscent of the upbeat lounges of old Palm Springs. The 3-course Thanksgiving dinner a Trio include your choice prime rib or  turkey with all the trimmings. Owner Tony sources local ingredients and supports local farmers. For example, the wedge salad with gorgonzola and Applewood smoked bacon is served with Coachella Valley dates. $59 pp

11. Billy Reed’s Restaurant & Bar

Billy Reed’s sprawling restaurant has been a Palm Springs institution since Pearl Harbor Day, 1975. The menu is an accessible catch-all of reliable all-American classics (chicken, steaks, salads, burgers), somewhat like an upscaled-but-unfussy diner with big portions to match. The décor must be seen to be fully appreciated. This Palm Springs standard serves a turkey dinner with all the trimmings every day. It’s on their main menu.

12. Johannes

Chef Johannes is serving up a 3-course Thanksgiving dinner. He is a master chef and restauranteur. Menu entrees include free range turkey, black angus beef tenderloin steak, his famous wiener schnitzel, pan seared branzino, and roasted half duck. Menu

13. King’s Highway at Ace Hotel & Swim Club

The King’s Highway is offering a three-course dinner including roasted corn and potato chowder, braised turkey with cornbread stuffing, Youkon mash, and toybox squash. Vegan options include vegan scallops with marinated tofu, piqueo puree, succotash, and cornbread crumble. Enjoy pumpkin pie or apple cobbler for dessert. $65 pp for both dine-in or takeout.

14. Grand Central Palm Springs

Grand Central is serving a 5 Course prix fixe celebration, 3 – 7 pm. $79 pp/ $35 children under ten. Entrée options include turkey, salmon, NY strip steak, and pumpkin ravioli.

15. Workshop Kitchen + Bar

Workshop Kitchen is serving an expansive menu for Thanksgiving, including a duck fat fried organic turkey entree option.  $38 pp Vegan options includ roasted half cauliflower ($32) and spiced seitan ($32).

Sherman’s Deli & Bakery

Need desert to-go? Sherman’s Deli & Bakery is known for their amazing bakery selections. Thanksgiving pies include chocolate cream, pecan, Dutch apple, pumpkin, cran-apple, and cherry. Or go for the pumpkin cheesecake. Guy Fieri, host of Triple D Nation on the Food Network, visited Sherman’s.
