Oscar’s Expands Their Live Entertainment Wed, February 2, 2022 Eat & Drink Add to trip Remove from trip Oscar’s New Live Entertainment Lineup Oscar’s Palm Springs, the restaurant and bar venue, is beefing up its repertoire with a new lineup of live entertainment that owner Dan Gore says is resonating with both locals and visitors to the area. It is a casual bar and special events venue with a courtyard and showroom in the heart of downtown. They are open for outdoor dining daily. Oscar’s is already known for itBitchiest Drag Brunch on Sundays and its weekend T Dances that draw hundreds mostly from the community who enjoy dancing to vintage Disco music. Oscar’s is now gaining quite a reputation for its “An Intimate Evening With…” series that draws celebrities to the desert. An Intimate Evening With… “An Intimate Evening With…” are one-on-one sit-downs with celebs who share details about their personal lives, their upbringings, their careers, what they are working on now, etc. The shows are backed up with multi-media presentations that heighten the experience. Among the talent who have starred in these shows: Dionne Warwick, Sandra Bernhard, Barbara Eden, Lindsay Wagner, Melissa Manchester, Priscilla Presley, Richard Chamberlin and more. Coming up is an evening with Marilu Henner, The Ladies of Knots Landing, and an Intimate Evening With Frankie Avalon and James Darren, just to name a few. Much more to come. Buy Tickets Co-producing all of Oscar’s productions with Dan Gore is dancer and performer Louis Camacho who is best known for teaching Madonna how to Vogue. Camacho took the stage name Xtravaganza during his club performances and competitions. Madonna’s song “Vogue” was inspired by the ballroom scene and Camacho, with follow dancer Jose Gutierrez, choreographed their sections of the MTV video. He was part of the Blonde Ambition tour and later a key cast member and dancer in the superstar’s documentary film “Truth or Dare.” “Louis has his finger on the pulse of what’s going on in terms of live entertainment that appeals to the both the general public and the LGBTQIA+ community. Together we are working to highlight new acts and new ideas all designed to keep attracting folks to Oscar’s and Palm Springs in general,” says Gore. In addition to Oscar’s, Gore is getting ready to open a sister restaurant, Crème, later this year. It will feature top-notch jazz, R&B and pop entertainment in an upscale environment. Celebrity Chef Sevan Abdessian, formerly of Herb Alpert’s Vibrato in Beverly Hills, is at the helm of this fine dining restaurant. It will be located at 777 East Tahquitz Canyon Way.
