Palm Springs COVID-19 Guidance

What Visitors Need To Know

Percentage of Palm Springs residents age 12 and older partially or fully vaccinated = 96%

The City of Palm Springs requires you to wear a mask when you are unable to social distance. In addition, the following mask and vaccine requirements apply. This is due to the increase spread of COVID-19 and the Delta variant, which is 55% more contagious than the alpha.

Palm Springs COVID-19 Updates

All City Buildings

Masks are required. City employees are required to be vaccinated or show proof of negativity every week.

All Palm Springs Businesses

Masks are required indoors.

Palm Springs Restaurants & Bars

Patrons indoors at restaurants and bars are required to show proof of vaccine or a negative COVID-19 test within the past 72 hours. This does not apply to outdoor dining. This order also does not apply to anyone under the age of 12.

Public Transportation

Wear a face covering in any public transportation including buses, taxis and other taxi style service.

Palm Springs Events

Face coverings are no longer required to be worn outdoors at non-ticketed large events in the City of Palm Springs. This will affect non-ticketed large events like VillageFest, Greater Palm Springs Pride Parade, the annual Veterans Day Parade and the Festival of Lights Parade.

While not currently required, it is recommended to show proof of vaccine or negative COVID-19 test results at all indoor events.
