Discover The Many Hiking Trails in Palm Springs

Palm Springs offers three main hiking areas; trails from within the City of Palm Springs, 60 miles of trails as part of the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation and 54 miles of trails as part of the Mt San Jacinto State Park. The Agua Caliente Indian Reservation include three canyons within Indian Canyons (Palm Canyon, Murray Canyon, and Andreas Canyon) as well as Tahquitz Canyon with a separate entrance and visitor center. Meet the Mid-Mod Die Hards

It’s Modernism Week in Palm Springs and this couple has been day dreaming incessantly about this one particular home they saw featured in an article last week. So, they take it upon themselves to head over and check it out. Oddly, the door is unlocked and they make themselves right at home. As they’re laughing and enjoying a cocktail on lavish mid-century modern furniture, they look up to realize they aren’t alone and that a tour of the home is just about to start. They grab their stuff and quickly head out the door as the 20 something attendees watch them leave. We do not recommend you ‘Palm Springs’ like the Mid-Mod Die Hards did. 

Desert Modernism

Since the 1920’s, visionary modernist architects have designed sleek, modern homes that have embraced the desert environment. The dramatic geographic surroundings of Palm Springs inspired a design aesthetic in the middle of the 20th Century now called Desert Modernism.
