When

February 4, 2023

Ancestors of turtles, tortoises and terrapins (Testudines) date from about 260 million years ago. As of 2018 more than half of the Testudines are threatened with extinction, including the 3 species of Desert Tortoise. Is there hope for these slow-moving reptiles?

RSVP is required for this lecture, and you must bring your ticket with you for check-in at 10:45 AM. Ticket reservations begin 14 days prior to the event. A suggested tax-deductible donation of $5.00 per person is appreciated and encouraged to support our volunteer programs. For more information contact the Visitor Center at 760-862-9984.
