EARLY HALLOWEEN: HAUNTED HOUSE & INTERACTIVE ART INSTALLATIONS

ART COLLECTIVE BLOODY GUMS BRINGS SITE SPECIFIC ART, MUSIC,
& NIGHT MARKET TO THE DESERT

Curator Andrew Barsoum brings his collective of Southern California artists, Bloody Gums, to the Saguaro for an evening event with large scale, interactive, multimedia installations inspired by the culture of Southern California and Halloween with a haunted house installation by artist Albert Reyes.

Across various sites at the hotel, local and regional artists have created works that draw inspiration from various environments while blending influences from pop culture. Coachella Valley artists include Carlos Ramirez and Sofia Enriquez. Albert Reyes, whose work has been featured in the New York Times: Year in Ideas, Swindle, and Chicano Art Magazine, represents the new reality of the art world. Calling back to R. Crumb and Barry McGee, his work references ideas as big as the American Dream and as personal as his cats. His adult-centric haunted house with scare actors is the latest version of his interactive, site specific works.

In addition to the art, musical performances and a night market featuring local craft vendors are scheduled.
