Music pulses through Allison’s veins, inheriting a rich legacy from four musical generations. From a family of conductors, violinists, cellists, guitarists, and jazz theorists, her eclectic upbringing embraced influences ranging from the Beatles to Billie Holiday. Crafting her first songs at nine and joining a band at thirteen, Allison’s musical journey unfolded through high school gigs, college collaborations, and the formation of Barebones, her debut professional band.
Barebones, though brief, sparked lasting connections with talented musicians. A reunion in 2016 led to the creation of “Holy Water,” an album featuring renowned artists like Paul Barrere, Coco Montoya, and more. Now, with a new untitled album set for a late 2023 release, Allison, alongside Grammy winner Tony Braunagel, collaborates with a stellar lineup, delivering Blues/Americana enriched with R&B, country, jazz, and funk influences. Her soul-stirring vocals, showcased in a duet with Blues icon Sugaray Rayford, affirm her prowess in the genre. The upcoming record promises an emotional journey, weaving tales of heartache, joy, and resilience inspired by Allison’s life experiences, from marriage and motherhood to overcoming adversity and embracing hope for the future.
