The Palm Springs Open is an international tennis tournament run by the Desert Tennis Association (DTA), attracting more than 300 LGBT players from around the world. DTA is a non-profit corporation that organizes tennis events for the LGBT community in the Coachella Valley and raises funds for local charities.
The tournament will be played at Mission Hills Country Club, Monterey Country Club, Sunrise Country Club, and Ruth Hardy Park. All tournament play is free and open to the public. Please visit deserttennis.us for complete match schedule. A Player Welcome Party will be held on Thursday, November 25 (Thanksgiving) from 7 to 9 PM at Hunter’s Palm Springs, 302 E. Arenas Road. A no-cost Player’s party with a silent auction and raffle benefitting AAP – Food Samaritans will also be held at Hunter’s at 7 PM on Saturday, November 27.
