Holiday Charity Events

Tin filled with donations in front of Christmas tree

During the holiday season, amidst the hustle and bustle of gift shopping and festive celebrations, it’s important to remember the true spirit of this time of year – giving back to others. Supporting holiday charity events and engaging in acts of kindness enriches the lives of those in need and brings a profound sense of fulfillment and joy to our hearts.

The season of giving presents a unique opportunity for us to spread love, share blessings, and positively impact the world around us. Whether it’s donating to a local food drive, volunteering at a homeless shelter, or contributing to a toy drive for underprivileged children, participating in charitable activities during the holidays allows us to express gratitude for all that we have while lending a helping hand to those who may be less fortunate.

These acts of kindness create a ripple effect of goodness, inspiring others to do the same and fostering a sense of community and unity. So, let us embrace the essence of the holiday season and commit to supporting charity events because together, we can make a difference in the lives of others and bring an abundance of warmth and compassion to those who need it most.

Nov. 29 – Wreath Auction. The annual Holiday Wreath Auction benefits The Center and the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.

With a mission of creating vibrant community by helping LGBTQ+ people along their way, The Center’s work stretches across the Coachella Valley. From its Palm Springs McDonald Wright Building to The Center Coachella, the Scott Hines Behavioral Health Clinic to the Community Food Bank. The organization offers a wide range of programs and services. With a talented staff, a dedicated corps of volunteers, generous donors, and multi-race/multi-generational clients, The Center’s work is focused on ending isolation and loneliness, connecting people to resources and community, and enriching our individual and collective experience.

This festive event raises funds through beautifully crafted donated wreaths from our community. You can preview and bid online for your favorite wreath or enjoy a special holiday show live at the patio of Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge. 5:30 pm.  You may also donate a wreath.
